Overview of Bangladesh
Bangladesh
is a low-lying riverine country located in South Asia.
The Himalayas stand to the north, while in the south lays the Bay
of Bengal. The Bay of Benglal has the longest beach in the world while Bangladesh
being a very small country in the world. It is the second largest river basin
in the world. Bangladesh is
bordered mostly by India and
have a short border with Myanmar
in the southeast.
The boundaries frame a low lying plain of about 1, 47,570
square kilometer criss-crossed by rivers and streams. Mighty rivers are the
Padma, the Brahmaputra, the Meghna and the Karnafuli and their tributaries
which empty into the Bay of Bengal.
Bangladesh has many locations to
visit. Tourist will get different flavor of natural attractions through
visiting historical mosques and monuments, longest natural beach in the world, archaeological
sites, rolling tea gardens and tribes, hill forests and wildlife etc.
